To do Canada Games-style freestyle skiing, it helps to start with some ski skills.

At the Games all the downhill events including moguls, aerials, dual moguls and half-pipe are freestyle, and will take place at Ski Wentworth during the first week of competition. Ski Wentworth offers a series of programs, though their students are boys and girls in the age range of six to 20. “We try and encourage people to continue [into their 20s],” explains freestyle ski coach Eric Mullaley. He suggests adults who already can ski but would be keen to advance their skiing skills into freestyle can contact Went- worth and book private coaching sessions ($55 per hour, not including equipment) and inquire about their periodic freestyle clinics.
