This summer Argyle Fine Art (1869 Upper Water) is hosting “a new and exciting exhibition combining both the musical and visual arts.” Entitled Vinylview, the exhibit will show works of art created out of vinyl records or record sleeves. The gallery is currently looking for music-minded folks who are inspired enough to make something totally rad out of these materials to come by and grab some records, available at the gallery free of charge. Said inspired folks will then create their masterpiece, take a picture of it, send it to Argyle Fine Art before June 19, where it will be accepted at the discretion of the gallery. The real fun begins on July 10 when the pieces are going to be on display. Phone or email the gallery for more details, 425-9456 gallery@argylefa.com
