Congratulations to the many, many Nova Scotia Music Week winners who showed Liverpool a good time last weekend. Joel Plaskett had to hire a sherpa to take home his varied awards: pop/rock artist/recording of the year; video of the year; group/recording of the year; SOCAN songwriter, album (Ashtray Rock) and entertainer of the year.

Other notable wins went to Jamie Gatti (musician, as well as jazz artist/recording of the year). Rose Cousins scored both folk/roots artist/recording for If You Were for Me (as did David Myles with Things Have Changed) and new artist/recording. Myles also won male artist/recording of the year. Charlie A’Court won blues/R&B artist with Bring on the Storm and RyLee Madison‘s Me & Cinderella won country artist/recording of the year. Alternative artist/recording of the year went to In-Flight Safety‘s Coast Is Clear, Jill Barber picked up female artist/recording of the year with For All Time and Classified took urban artist/recording with Hitch Hikin’ Music.
