If you go down to the Common on Monday, December 7 at 3:30pm, you’re in for a big surprise. Four NSCAD U students—Erin Allen, Steph Young, Jeffery Davison and Pika Blades—have initiated a project called the Engine Ear. They’ve constructed a musical instrument, known as Velicotron 3000, which they’ll play in a walking jamboree that will start at the NSCAD Port Campus and travel through downtown, until they reach the Common. There, the Velicotron will be destroyed. Too bad that couldn’t have happened during the Keith Urban show.
