When the movie revolves around a basketball coach who pushes his team to strive for bigger things than being the kings of the court, why does the soundtrack rely on the same derivative hip-hop and R&B? As with most OSTs, the line-up looks great on paper, but is forgettable upon hearing it. There are a few standout tracks—Twista’s “Hope,” hot Ciara’s “Roll Wit U,” and honourable mentions from The Game, Mack 10 and Kanye West. All in all, this should be ridin’ the bench.
