Katie Aubrecht of Saint Mary’s University will broadening your understanding of consent on Saturday.

From Todd Akin’s ridiculous but wildly publicized “legitimate rape” theory to the ongoing global war on women’s rights, there has never been a better time for a conference like ConsentFest to grab hold of Haligonian hearts. With a range of activities that include sex-positive workshops, zine-making, critical thinking and discussion panels (featuring Katie Aubrecht, above), music, art and lots more, it’s a weekend that will foster understanding surrounding consent and challenge rape culture in a way more significant way than rage-screaming into your pillow will.

How about REALLY trying to understand the topics of consent and “rape culture”?

An in-depth look at the sexes’ most destructive behavioral difference, see: “The Sexual Harassment Quagmire” at http://malemattersusa.wordpress.com/2011/1…

This will test how understanding you are willing to be, or how steeped you are in gender-divisive feminist ideology.
