Remember cassettes? Well, better dig out your boomboxes because Quaker Parents and Dream Friends are having a split-tape release show this Friday. Special guests Long Weekends will also be joining the party.
The split will be called Tap Turns Off/Dream Girls, and will feature nine new tracks. Five mathy and sure-to-be catchy indie rock tunes are coming from Quaker Parents (Tap Turns Off) and their pals Dream Friends (Dream Girls) will supply the other four tracks.
So, why tapes? Mark Grundy of Quaker Parents says the manufacturing process is a lot faster when it’s left up to the musicians. Plus, tapes are awesome.
The show is happening at 7:30pm, Friday, April 15 at 1313 Hollis Street. Tickets are $5, and all ages are welcome.
