The cat came back the very next day. Actually, this time the cat came back two years later. Jaguar Knight—formerly known as A/V—is back in Halifax after spending two years in Jeju, Korea teaching English and working as a DJ. But now Philip Clark’s back to rock your socks. Performing under the new stage name Jaguar Knight—he says he changed it to “freshen things up”—the New Brunswick-born electro-dance act will take the stage at Gus’ tonight, hand in hand with Jenocide and DJ James Reid. With plans to play a three-way set, and also showcasing Rouge, an electro girl band from Guelph, things are bound to get funky. Clark says tonight will be a bit of a surprise, even for him. He left his synthesizers at home when he took off for Asia, but they’ve been patiently awaiting his return. “I’m going to blow the dust off some old machines and see what still works and try and mash it all together,” he says.
