Even though the press release refers to him as a Toronto playwright, I’m claiming Daniel MacIvor’s $100,000 Siminovitch Prize in Theatre a local (and well-deserved) victory. There’s one more reason to make a trip to see the premiere of his new play Confession, which moves from Guysborough’s Mulgrave Theatre to Truro, Wolfville, Antigonish and Chester over the next week.
