You may recall that before me there was a voice that made you laugh with its wry observations, copious but skillful use of slang and out-of-nowhere pop culture jams, and you might also know that said voice has departed for the backseat of a van till friggin’ November y’all, and you’re lucky I’m the replacement because I have an in and here’s that voice with some exclusive information: “THE STOLEN MINKS ARE PLAYING WITH THE BLACK LIPS IN ATLANTA!” says Stephanie Johns, the Minks’ guitarist and one of its singers. “They are my favourite band. This is sort of mind-blowing. The dude who is setting the show up is a grade-A doll, and he is their friend,” and voila. For all of our Georgia-area readers, this show goes down October 16, “officially the best day of my life,” says Johns.
The Stolen Minks’ third record, High Kicks, drops on Friday at Gus’ Pub.
