Could the incredibly fun, bat-shit-insanely sadistic B-movie Hobo With a Shotgun possibly stand a chance of breaking through to the mainstream?
Yes, according to New York Magazine, who called the film a sadistic pleasure that made them laugh so hard they cried. Esquire tweeted, “Hobo with a Shotgun: gleeful Grand Guignol/Grindhouse lark has gags to make you gag, w/ Rutger Hauer savoring buffoonish butchery.” Variety: “One may be inclined to decry the pic’s continuous, outrageous lapses in taste, but to do so would ultimately be pointless; they’re the film’s entire raison d’etre, and anyone who shows up for this surely knows what they’re in for.” And the list goes on…
Dudes, this is huge.
