Go North!, the third annual north end studio and gallery tour, is hosting a fundraiser with benefits (if you know what I mean), on Thursday, August 7 at FRED (2606 Agricola, 8pm, $5). A Night of Romance is a modernized version of the old-timer TV show, The Dating Game, minus the heinously ugly set and polyester outfits because it’s at FRED and everyone becomes effortlessly stylish as soon as they enter those doors. Anyway, two eligible bachelors/bachelorettes are invited to ask a series of questions to a panel of contestants, who are hidden from sight, and then choose a date, based on their answers. Two new couples will be awarded a romantic dinner for two. If your boyfriend thinks this is a bad idea, you can still participate by buying raffle tickets for a bunch of prizes (also available ahead of time at Eyelevel Gallery and Good Food Emporium) and filling the dance floor. If love is a full belly and icing sugar, watch for news about the Waffle House fundraiser on Sunday, August 17 at Eyelevel.
