Photographer Meghan Tansey Whitton conceived our cover idea and assembled the team—including stylist Carole Rankin—to erase all trace of gross, lingering snowbank piles with this colour-saturated cover. IT’S SPRING, GODDAMNIT!
Amie Cunningham of Thief&Bandit’s new trapeze-style dress in cactus print was made specifically for this shoot and screenprinted on organic stretch jersey in their Bedford studio.
In addition to the rings and bracelets, Kiersten Holden-Ada of Fervour’s Own also provided a piece exclusive to this cover shoot, these sterling silver and horsehair with oxidized silver chain earrings, what she calls “a slightly more flamboyant version of some of the other horsehair earrings I’ve been producing lately.”
Hair and makeup artist Emily Astrid Moore was inspired by the colourful streamers and metallic accessories, styling model Jessie Jawanda in “lots of fun bright colours while keeping the rest of the makeup nice and soft.”
