This year, the Halifax Zine and Record Fair, a fave part of the Halifax Pop Explosion, is offering free vendor tables to show off your DIY zines, comics, indie records, CDs, cassettes, books, posters, printed matter and crafts. Maybe you’ll make some cash too. Email zineexplosion@gmail.com to get a table registration form, and fill it in by October 11. This year’s fair takes place on Saturday, October 25, noon-5pm at St. David’s Church Hall, 1537 Brunswick. I’m thinking of embroidering Jay Reatard’s and Gza’s faces on handkerchiefs.
