Felix scores points with house-haters by employing musicians alongside his gizmos. But fans of Gary Numan and Kraftwerk will find more to embrace than those fierce for funk. The most compelling songs are written from the perspective of a female sexual predator, sung by the girl group the Neon Fever. “Short Skirts” and “Watching Cars Go By”—by stirring up the war of the sexes—are empowerment with a beat that makes dancing, fighting and fucking feel like the same thing.
