These songs could stand as acoustic numbers, so occasionally the power chord crunch sounds gratuitous. Amps do lend weight to the thoughts of this Canadian girl who’s older, browner and more musical than Avril Lavigne, but playing to the same crowd. “Rock It Til You Drop It” enlists Tone Loc and a Clapton lick to make a geezer-goosing groove. “Unforgiven” aptly trades on the movie title’s cachet inside four syllables shouted from a fender-bender of the heart.
