Furnace at the house stopped working so I got a particular company to come in and fix it (no names). After he replace 3 components and got it running again, he put exclamation marks at the end of each thing he did on the receipt and then acted as if I had done something wrong. You just charged me $350, make you bread and butter for the day and you give me attitude? You’re lucky I’m not the type to trash you to your superior. 1. well I would tell his boss. If he’s that above fixing a furnace let him find a new job. He is in the customer service industry – fix the attitude while you fix my furnace.

  2. I love people who say they should report something and don’t. So you got a bill for $350 but you don’t say what it was for. How much did the three parts cost, what was the service call price, what was the labour rate and what were the taxes. That could be a very fair bill but unless you break it down for us, I for one will not condemn them for the bill.

  3. so, did you know how to fix it yourself,no? then shut the fuck up. next time do it yourself, and see how much they will charge you, to fix your mistakes.
i knew a guy that thought he knew all about fixing his gas furnace. even had a guy out to look at it, was told it would cost a little over a hundred bucks for a new fuel igniter. well douchebag, says never mind. next day, he fucks with it, almost gases everyone in home, and then has to pay out 650 bucks to repair the cracked pipes and stuff he fucked up. not to mention the fumigation and airing of home, and the motel bill for 3 days stay, for him and family. i laughed so bad i almost shit myself.

  4. So, your furnace needed three parts and 1.5 hours of labour, and you’re bitching because it was $350 (I’m assuming with taxes included)?

    HAHAHA.

You’re new to home ownership, aren’t you, OB?
