I’d say you’ll be pleased to know the dog you just hit seemed to be okay and ran off but you clearly didn’t give a shit. Yes, the dog should not have been running off leash, but you should not have been going so fast on a dark rainy night either. Fortunately the dog kind of bounced off the front of the car rather than going under, but you, asshole that you are, didn’t even slow down after the impact. —IKnowWhatYouDidTonight

  1. And to note: Any damage to the car would be at the cost of the dog owner, if found.

  2. ^^^ So, by all your standards, if it was a child then the same standards would apply, right?

As a side note, there is no way that someone didn’t notice that they hit something out of the ordinary, and anyone with a conscience would have stopped to see what they hit. We have a moral obligation to make sure what we hit is not suffering, whether it be a deer, racoon, dog, child, etc… Anything less is just bullshit, and you go from a person to a piece of shit in the time it took to make the decision to be an asshole and just drive on.

  3. ^^^ the bitch clearly says that “the dog … seemed to be okay and ran off”. If the OB saw that then maybe the driver saw that as well. Or was just oblivious for some reason – loud music?

Personally, if I had witnessed this incident I would have tried to follow the dog to see if it looked injured and needed help. I spent an hour one day making sure an injured seagull who was hit by a car was picked up and cared for so I would do the same for a dog or cat.

But, I still wouldn’t make assumptions about the driver’s negligence or indifference – unless there is more evidence than has been presented in this bitch.

  4. Shit, bitches, Linda Mosher ran over a fucking cyclist in broad daylight and didn’t notice. Oh, right, a cyclist in HRM. Less rights than dogs, nevermind.

  5. I couldn’t have said it better myself, Cranky, cyclists are just poop on the shoe of life. I personally wouldn’t take my foot off one of their heads to save it from drowning.

  6. The dog may have suffered internal injuries not detectable by sight, and from a distance to boot. That dog may be dead now.

  7. The driver is not guilty. You don’t want your dog hit by a car? Don’t let it wander the streets at night. Trying to avoid the dog at the last minute could of been a dangerous move by the driver. One time I had a cat dart out in front of me on a rainy day, I hit it and kept going. The following light I had some jackass staring me down. What the fuck did that guy want me to do?

  8. It was most likely unintentional, but the owner of the dog is the only one who is clearly at fault in this case. The key take-away is that before you consider becoming a dog owner you have to commit to training it.

  9. I would think that stopping tha car on the street on a dark, rainy night and getting out of your car would be extremely risky to the driver. If he knew it was a dog and not a pedestrian he may have figured the stop was just too dangerous especially uf he saw the dog run afterward. Just a thought.
