Ever since my first Ice Capades you’ve always had a special place in my heart. Sure we’ve had our ups and downs. I’ve said hurtful things about you smothering me, or dragging me down. You’re sometimes dirty and in my face, but overall, I’ve loved you. I loved the four-dollar pitchers and potini on Fridays. I’ve loved all the culture and spirit. I’ve loved the pleases and thank-yous. I’ve loved the sunsets over the harbour and having seagulls in my backyard. I’ve loved watching the boats and whales go by. I’ve loved the food and the people, and overall you’ve been a great home. I’ll miss you when I move away, but 15 years was way too long and I know it’s time to move on. Thanks Halifax, smell ya later. —Kiwi Crusader
