to the AssHole parked in front of the Dresdon Row Access a bus stop it took me a while to get that stop in front of my school. So that I didnt have to walk from birmingham (which im barely capable of doing.) I was about to have a little sympathy, when I noticed the handicap sign hanging in the front window of your car.
But then you WALKED out with no cane or other physical tools to help you walk. Ther is plenty of other spots not even 25 feet away but i guess your in to good of shape to actually walk. You Fucking piece of shit first off there are handicapped parking spots on the opposite side of the road If you really feel the need to break the law. But to stop and park in front of the access bus stop, Thats real fucking low you piece of shit. The most digusting part is you know what it’s like because someone you know has a disability that needs special parking. I hope whoever it is finds out and slaps the taste out of your mouth.

  1. Not everybody with a disability has a cane or inability to walk …. ever think maybe the guy has asthma or breathing problems? Maybe a heart condition? I guess not- probably one of those people who only think of themselves !!!!

  2. Did they have a tag in the car? Yes. Did they have a giant sign tacked to their ass stating they weren’t disabled? No? then STFU.

  3. I think the OP is complaining that the car was parked in a bus stop that has a sign indicating it’s an Access-A-Bus only bus stop. Metro Transit has a few of these around the downtown area where it’s hard to find a curbside location with enough room to get the bus into position to use the lift.

The car driver needs to realise a bus stop isn’t a parking spot.

  4. Cars in bus stops are a royal piss off to me. While I agree that not all handicaps are external, there is still no excuse for a car to be in a AAB stop, let alone a regular one.

  5. Every bus should be equipped with a set of roo-bars. This way, if some moron gets in the way of a bus in a bus zone, they can push them out of the way. Problemo solved.

  6. or forks like on a forklift so they can pick the car up and move it out the way.
would hate to see a head-on crash though if it did… impaling cars would be pretty bad ass.
It’d also likely require bus drivers to have their forklift license as well.

  7. I’d be up for it… you’d finally get the road respect the buses deserve.
draft a petition and I’ll put my name on er.

of course, while we’re speculating on sooping up the busses, we may as well throw the idea of the terminator style portation devices on the front….

  8. i liked the lady i saw at the atlantic superstore a few months back. she parked in the handicapped space, with a handicapped license plate and the hanger on her rear view. when she got out she RAN across the parking lot to get to the liqour store in time before closing. I called back to her…you must be mentally….she said what…i said because you sure arent physically. she never responded to that one. Gotta love slugs.

  9. You see that all the time…people using a vehicle with anothers handicapped plate. I have no problem with them borrowing a car…but why do they insist on parking in a handcapped zone, when they are not handicapped. I have a legit reason for a tag, but I can walk ok, I just limp & sometimes its worse than others, & I use my cane….but its not so bad I need to take a place from someone who really is handicapped.
There ought to be some enforcement of this… I know I have never seen it, nor have I ever heard of any..

  10. I generally agree with the OP here, and if it’s a bus stop not handicapped space oh hell yeah.
Otherwise I would just mention my father has PAD, Peripheral Artery Disease or blockage of the Femeral artery to be specific. While he looks completely functional he can only walk very short distances or his lower legs cramp quite painfully. Once we walked from the Metro Center to the Cambridge Suites and he had to stop and sit down because of the pain.
