I heard an HRM reminder on the radio this morning. It had two parts. The first part was a reminder that as of this Tuesday, anyone using the Christmas lights will be fined. The second part was a reminder that we have until the end of February to take down our Christmas lights or face a ‘per bulb’ fine to a maximum of $700. —WTF?!

I could see this being a legit law if everyone had their houses lit up all year, maybe to conserve energy. But come on, those who are too lazy to take down their lights aren’t exactly proud of that. I don’t think they have their houses lit up into Jan to show everyone what a lazy toolbars they are. Fuck gimme a break…this law is just another way to syphon hard working citizens’ dollars.

OMG.. this is the most hilarious fucked up thing i have ever heard of!!! I know people back home in ontario who leave their lights on all year round… mind you I think its ridiculous to do so but then again THEIR the ones paying the BILL for their electricity use.
