Man, it sucks when you idealize someone and, not only do they disappoint, they actually turn out to be crude, boring and unoriginal.
This one in particular did herself up like a Venusian dream and turned out to be the most nauseating personality I have ever encountered. OB, it’s pretty normal for anyone to try to present themselves as attractively as possible. I don’t see how you could have a gripe with her being “done up”. Should she be wearing a potato sack?
And if you found her intelligence lacking or sense of humour not to your taste then that’s fair. But it doesn’t sound like she tried to deceive you in any way. Obviously, she’s not your cup of tea – but so what? Have you never dated before? That’s what the dating process is all about – finding compatible people.
