I was about one foot short of smoking two girls down in a crosswalk the other day. Scared the complete shit out of me. Here is my bitch…right or not, it’s mine.
Crosswalks are for walking, not running across. If there are overhead flashers, it’s probably for a reason—poor visibility to the crosswalk due to a sharp turn up a blind crest, trees, et cetera. Hit the goddamn flashers and make fucking eye contact! At the very least, turn your damn head to see that any oncoming cars have stopped.
Heavens, invincible teenager—it’s not complicated. —Don’t want you to walk the cross.

  1. So… now motorists want the right to mow us down because we didn’t hit a button? You still need to pay attention to all road hazards including invincible teenagers… cry on motorists.

  2. Depending on the actual sequence of events, this is a legit bitch. My brother drives a huge boom truck and has no issues stopping for people. But it’s hard to stop when someone walking on the sidewalk does a sudden left hand turn into a crosswalk without waiting to see if he even has time to stop with a full load or giving them time to stop. It’s just simple physics. The whole mentality that a pedestrian can sue if they get hit is meaningless if you can’t feel your body from the neck down for the rest of your life.

I work with a lot of expats, and the first thing we tell them when driving is that pedestrians here have a false sense of entitlement and will cross whenever and wherever they feel like.

  3. Who said anything about rights to mow down pedestrians?

Just be fucking reasonable people, we live in a society, its a team effort.

  4. Hahahaha! Every dislike I get on my previous comment is a tear shed by a motorist! Get a bike losers; or a horse.

  5. I think you’re definitely on to something Willard but don’t forget the fucking eye contact.

  6. Whatever, each pedestrian killed in a crosswalk is one less mouth the earth has to feed.

  7. Bitches are contravening the Motor Vehicle Act by not activating the overhead light. You are free to run them down.

  8. I agree with OP. The number of times I have witnessed, both as a driver and pedestrian, someone walking up to the crosswalk, pressing the button for the yellow caution lights and then walking right out into traffic not even waiting for cars to slow down. More than one near miss on this one.
I really don’t understand WTF happened to the concept of STOP, LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING THE STREET, really!
Go play on the rocks at Peggy’s Cove if you want to take foolish risks.
