When I go out for a drink I want to be able to enjoy myself. Dear servers and bartenders at a cutlery joint on barrington: Dont talk so loudly about your issues. It ruins my attempt to relax when I hear about all your “boyfriend” issues or rather “happy lack of one”. —Need a Vacation

Hear, hear.
i think we have a matching pair of bitches, involving cutlery and desserts http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1GQNCyEpK3A/TeZV…
Cutlery joint? You’re used to places where you eat with your hands are you OP?
Hm. I’ve yet to hear a fully positive review of this place. Too bad, it sounds so promising!
yeah me neither ralmn, perhaps i should go work for them^^
Which place are we talking about?
I hear you OP, keep your personal and professional life separate.
*hint* spoons and desserts
*hint* think pink banana hammocks and long, bendy straws
(ok, I made that up. I’m at as much of a loss as tj)
It’s a new place that just opened on Barrington. They specialize in drinks and dessert.
now you know the reason why i very seldom go out to eat at a restaurant. too noisy, too crowded, and just too fucking expensive.i’m not cheap, but 3.50 for a cup of warm coffee, no fucking way.
Yeah, I’ll just stay home on the couch in my boxers and chase spiced rum with giant spoonfulls of Rocky Road.
styles. you know how to live, me without the boxers of course.
that’s the whole thing, guys, when you go out you’re not paying for the food and the drink, I mean you are, but really what you’re paying for is the atmosphere because if all you wanted was the food n drink you could just stay at home and save the money. So when someone is paying for the atmosphere, you should respect them enough to not subject them to your personal problems.
I find a lot of new places that open their staff are unprofessional. It takes a while to weed out the bad ones and they are probably desperate for anyone to work there. Established service pro’s don’t need to risk working for an upstart business, or even an established business’s new location. It’s risky.
Most new places hire 21 year old beauties who are shitty servers. I’d rather have a competant non-bombshell as a server any day, but I am a 32 year old man. I don’t think I am the demographic they are targetting.
OP, don’t tip either.
I been to bikini bars where it is a 30 something watress that serves us. She isnt that attractive but her customer service skills are excellent……..she also has a special way of bending forward to fill your draft glass. Anyone that tries that hard deserves a tip. I’ll bet she gets tipped often.
