Remember in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas that the Grinch stole all the Christmas presents and decorations and thought that he could stop Christmas, but the town folk of Whoville just celebrated anyway like nothing happened? Well, I see a lot of parallels of that story to the post office shenanigans. They stopped offering their service because they were greedy for more and this country has not suffered or paused at all due to this minor inconvenience. Perhaps the postal service isn’t as important as they think they are and they should get back to work like the rest of us and stop complaining. —Gone Postal and Back

  1. I wish the Government could fire the whole fucking lot of ’em and give those jobs to people who would really appreciate the opportunity. I’m sick and fucking tired of those lazy pricks and their greed for a service that will eventually sink into the tar sands of obscurity.

  2. I bet if the Government could pass a Bill to replace all the Canada Post employees, they’d have more than enough Canadians applying for the jobs to replace them. Those ungrateful bastard unions should just be happy their members even have jobs.

  3. Well, although I agree with the meat and potatoes of this post, Christmas would definitely be effected by a mail strike/lockout.

Commandante raised a good point to me about this the other day, these guys make the country money, I thought their paychecks came from tax dollars but no, they generate income. So I dunno, as much as I do think they’re a little spoiled, they’re going after the best they can get just like the rest of us.

  4. It’s about time they came back to work !
I couldnt mail my dad a card for father’s day cause they was not delivering !

  5. I SUPPORT OUR LOCAL POSTAL WORKERS

Not to mention that most of the workers spent years sorting mail before getting to their “cushy” OUTDOOR-ALL-YEAR (RAIN SLEET SNOW) jobs. I’d rather see a desk jockey civil servant sitting on their fat ass in Ottawa lose their job than someone akin to a labourer who has put in YEARS to earn the benefits they deserve. Not to mention postal workers serve an important function in rural communities, and often are a large part of the communities in which they work.

You wouldn’t believe how many lives postal workers have saved. Get fucked, you Harper-loving fuckholes.
