To all of those ignorant old buggers that block the aisles and do nothing but talk for hours on end: just because it’s Sunday, it doesn’t mean that we’re all like you and have hours to spend in the G-D grocery store. Get the hell out of the way and don’t give me a dirty look when I push your cart out of the way to get to the milk (it’s such a hard decision I know). Grocery stores are frustrating enough without you making it more frustrating.

  1. It does suck when you only have the option of shopping for groceries on Sundays like I often do, and there are so many people there just for random meandering and socializing. Luckily I don’t have a lot of elderly filks shopping in the grocery store near me, but I get lots of students and frat boys shopping in packs taking up loads of space.

  2. You guys are a f’ing riot! What you say is true, but complaining about people with too much time on their hands shopping on Sundays while you try to shop on Sundays? Here’s an idea, don’t shop on Sundays. If you can’t get your shopping done in six days there’s something wrong anyhow.

Wow, and what’s this? The first reply is by someone named ‘People Are Stupid’? Okay … lol, is this an inside joke or what? If so, it’s a really good one.

  3. Hey Refined, some of us don’t have Monday to Friday 9-5 jobs. In fact, some of us have to work random hours or are on the clock all the time (self-employed), that said, some of us have no other option. I don’t like busy grocery stores, but I deal with it much like everyone else. I think the OP’s point is that a lot of people socialize in there too, which is extremely annoying to those who just want to get in and get out of those hell holes.

  4. Neither do I, Fever. I’m closer to the situation than you can imagine. If you couldn’t decipher from my earlier tone, I don’t support Sunday shopping. The OP’s post kinda spelled out why. Any attempts to justify it are a waste. It’s all about connivence and having too much time on your hands. The average person isn’t so overburdened six days a week that if it wasn’t for grocery stores now being open on Sunday, they’d starve to death. Come on.

Hence my point. If one was so bothered by the extreme nature of socializing that comes out of the woodwork on Sunday, they’d make it a priority to not shop on Sunday. If they continue to do so, obviously it’s not that much of a deal breaker they made it out to be.
