Dear Citizens of Halifax,
I am learning a new dance. It is called: “Hop, Skip and Jump, so That My Shoes
Do Not Get Ruined by Salt”. Is it not be possible for you to use amply available gravel that can be purchased at superstore instead of destructive salt? Perhaps you could consider the cost of the damage to my shoes when you do your liability assessment. The least we could all do is to use only the amount of salt necessary instead of liberally coating the ice /snow on our sidewalk with a blanket of the destructive substance.
Yours Truly,

shut up or slip and fall.
You’d probably sue their asses if you slipped and fell because they just sanded the ice rather than salt it and remove the ice. Get a grip.
Why not invest in a good pair of winter boots? They’ll keep your feet warm and dry, provide better traction on icy sidewalks, and – best of all – the salt wipes off them easily!
