I just read two different stories in the last 24 hours about people neglecting their children, one woman left two one year old kids locked in a freezing car for hours and another left her 8 kids home alone for a month with no food. A 3 month old baby in Texas found dead on the side of the road with blunt force trauma to the head. My baby son died a month ago and these stories make me sick. Fucking wake up, this isn't a goldfish you are caring for, this is your child. Use your fucking brains that God gave you, or don't have kids.

There is been so much talk lately about a shortage of Taxis in Halifax while it is easy to find a Taxi in the bigger cities....I think we are forgetting that all those big cities have one or more "Night Buses" that run 24 hours...I think we need at least one "Night Bus" on weekends from downtown Halifax at 2:00 AM, 3:00 AM and finally at 4:00 AM. And I think it should go down Barrington to Inglis to Robie to North st. to Mumford to Herring Cove to Old Sambro to Dunbrack to Lacewood Terminal to the New Bridge, to the Sportsplex in Dartmouth and back to Halifax(I think the bus will do this route in like an hour).

Now if Nova Scotia, with less than 1 million citizens, was able to reduce it's contribution to global warming to zero, WHAT DIFFERENCE WOULD IT MAKE ON A GLOBAL SCALE??? The cost to even greatly reduce our contribution would result in job losses because of the expense to companies, vital tax dollars would be diverted from crucial services like HEALTH CARE. There used to be 'blond' jokes, but you can expect 'greenie' jokes in the near future as people start to use their brains for a change. Example; quantify and quality the net result of all the efforts we take to separate our garbage. It looks good on paper, but what is really happening?????
