NSCAD University’s Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing program offers students opportunities to express their creativity and finesse their skills in making jewellery and hollowware. The studios at NSCAD’s Fountain Campus become a second home for the hard-working and entrepreneurial students in the program.

“The thing I like about our program is that the professors are all very technically skilled artists and designers,” says Erin Christensen, a senior student originally from Edmonton. “So we learn all these technical skills, but there’s a lot of room for experimentation.”

“We’re always pushing each other to try something different, to learn something else,” adds Violeta Izquierdo, a student originally from Colombia. “We love the vibe of the studio and learning together…we practically live there. We see each other all day, every day. It has such a neat energy.”
