If you’re heads out to Dartmouth Crossing this week, you’ve got a new flavour choice to enjoy. Woody’s B-B-Q opens today, adjacent to Sushi Nami Royale and La Cucina, a southern barbecue joint founded in Florida with the local franchise owned by Jim Bethune and Eric Swain. With his wife Swain also owns Nurtured, the parenting store, and has 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including having been the opening general manager of the Four Points by Sheraton Halifax. At Woody’s you can expect a family-friendly vibe and all those delicious southern flavours (ribs, beans, cornbread, etc.) becoming increasingly popular here in the north.
