Just gotta love the mutual masturbation sessions The Coast engages in with Metro, the paper that killed The Daily News. Pathetic
Metro regularly outscoops the ‘paper of record’ though. Comparing them to The Coast isn’t apropos though, they exist for different reasons.
Metro didn’t kill the Daily News. Transcontinental, the owner, did. This, and the other common misconception that Transcon owns Metro, is due to the company working out a deal with Metro to move in and give Transcon their publishing contract right as the Daily was shut down.
