For those folks who can’t make it downtown to the Halifax Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings (work, hangovers, etc.), there’s going to be a variation of the weekend ritual on Sunday at the North Street Church (5657 North Street). The Sunday variation of the Farmer’s Market begins on June 15.

  1. Excitement was high over the North End Sunday Market. However, due to several farmers being unable to participate on sundays this created a dilemma. But keep your hopes up folks because this event will live on! In a different place, at a different time, and I guarantee it will be sublime. We’ve chosen the Bloomfield Centre as our new site for this weekly event, and we want them to choose us! So, in keeping with the policy of this HRM-owned community centre, we will be organizing as a non-profit society with an educational focus on Nova Scotia’s traditional arts and culture – crafting and farming. Of course, the crafters and the farmers will be there with their wares, and you will see for yourself all these hardworking and talented folks who are preserving the fabric of our traditions with their own two hands! Stay tuned for the grand opening of the North End Community Fair and plan to come out on Wednesday evenings for the opportunity of a mid-week social gathering and pantry stocking. We’re workin’ on it folks and when all the people and the details are synchronized, the show will go on! We will continue to post up-do-date information about the progress of this weekly event through the facebook group “North End Community Fair”. Thank you kindly for showing your support!
