May 2, from 10am-6pm, Tammachat Natural Textiles is bringing its fair trade creations to the Universalist Unitarian Church (5500 Inglis), offering organic silk scarves, organic cotton scarves and bags of all sorts—including hand-woven bamboo bags, hemp and leather purses—as well as jackets, wrap pants, cushion covers and more. At 1pm there’ll be a slideshow on the groups of women who live along the banks of the Mekong River in Northeast Thailand, weaving the organic cotton that goes into many of the Tammachat products.
