A new business has opened in the Historic Properties. Smiles & Beauty Skin Care (1869 Upper Water Street, 404-4344) is run by Kristin O’Leary, who originally purchased a Quik Smiles Inc. franchise with her husband earlier this year but has since rebranded and gone indie. “We still offer safe, comfortable, and affordable professional teeth whitening, as well we have added Olivier Soaps to our product line up,” explains O’Leary.

Olivier Soaps is a 100 percent natural line of skin care and bath/body products, containing no harmful chemicals or fragrances, handmade in New Brunswick.

The store’s grand opening is September 24, with a planned launch party featuring owner and founder of Olivier Soaps, Pierre Pelletier, who will speak. You may remember Pelletier from his appearance on CBC TV’s Dragon’s Den.

  1. This sounds like a really cool shop! I wish I was able to stop by. Do their teeth whitening products also have a chemical free background? If so, how does that work? If not, how are they “indie”? I having thinking about seeing my dentist to whiten my teeth. I know that will for sure work. But I am curious about learning more about their methods at this company.
