They’ve done it before and will do it again: Dennis Johnston and the chefs at Fid Resto (1569 Dresden Row, 422-9162) will be offering their Small Plates special menu December 7 and 14. It’s a collection of 20 to 30 dishes, each between $4 and $7. There’ll be no advance publication of the menu and the main menu won’t be available on those evenings. Give them a call for more information. Wish them a happy birthday at the same time: Fid is 11-years-old on December 9, and remains one of Halifax’s stalwart supporters of local food.
