With Valentine’s Day around the corner I Love Local Halifax is tugging on the heart strings of shoppers in the name of charity. This week kicked off the Local Love Notes initiative, encouraging shoppers, and eaters, who love on local business give a little affection to local causes, too. Instead of shouting your feelings for a special someone or something from the rooftops, you can donate a loonie and have your love note displayed at one of the participating businesses until February 14. Each business (and there are over 30 of them) has chosen a charity of choice that’ll enjoy the benefits of your undying love for a person, place or thing.
