Down in the south end, Schooner Books (5378 Inglis Street, 423-8419) is well-known for its historical and text books, both good quality second-hand and out-of-print, both literature and non-fiction, but they do a host of other things, too. “We’re doing really well on vintage photographs,” says owner John Townsend. “And our Canadiana has been selling well lately. Books on the Maritime provinces and history.”
