As of March 2 you won’t be able to press your face longingly against Scanway Catering & Pastry‘s storefront window on Quinpool Road. The company known for its towering cartoon-like wedding cakes and catering services sent out a release this afternoon stating they got an offer an offer they couldn’t refuse for the building at 6088 Quinpool Road. The sale won’t really interrupt Scanway’s regular operations though, as it’s been cooking most of its eats out of a large, commercial kitchen in the Maritime Centre (1505 Barrington Street) for four years; now the pastry work will be done at that location, too. While the company is discussing details around a new storefront, its beautiful creations will still be available by delivery, or pickup at Saege Bistro (5883 Spring Garden Road).
