The Feed has learned that the space once occupied by Elephant & Castle, 5171 George Street, we can expect a new Canadian chain to open a location. Red Water Rustic Grille, with four locations in Calgary and one in Charlottetown, describes itself as “A chef- and sommelier-driven restaurant that features fresh and regional cuisine and award-winning wine lists.” Watch this space for more info as it comes available

I’ve eaten at the Red Water Grill in Calgary a few times while visiting my father. It is really quite an impressive operation! Food, wine and service was quite outstanding.
I’ve been to the Charlottetown location a few months ago – it is located in the new boutique hotel. It’s good! It’s a steakhouse. It reminds me a lot of the Keg but with a more of an urban feel from a design perspective. The prices are comparable so it should give them a run for their money.
