I’m always looking for an excuse to plug Propeller Brewery (2011 Gottingen Street, 422-7767), and when the Twitterverse alerted me to the Brewery’s new eight-tap dispensing capabilities for brewery tours, well…

I’ve gone on several of the tours, and they’re well worth the $15 price. No hassle here; just come in, sit down and drink for a bit, then get taken through the basement maze of vats and pipes and bottles while someone explains what it’s all about, then go back up and drink some more. Good times.

Tours are given every day of the week, 4:30-6:30 and 7-9pm for pre-arranged groups of 10 or more. But if you’re a solitary drinker, fear not! Says the brewery’s website:

DON’T HAVE ANY FRIENDS?
Open brewery tours are on Wednesday nights 7-9pm (during summer months). Come on your own or bring a friend! No booking required for open tours, just show up and have a great time.

I don’t know when summer starts, exactly, but I know I’ll be making the Wednesday tour part of my post-work routine.
