Recently opened Orphan Books (2394 Agricola St, 425-5013) is bringing
affordable used books to the north end. Owner Morgan Dambergs wants to
provide used science and young adult fiction in particular for her
customers.
The quaint store is stacked with a collection of books that come from
book sales and friends. She has books that range from the vampire
literature of Anne Rice to the quirky fiction of Tom Wolfe to young
adult novels written by Louise Rennison. Dambergs also hopes to add
some graphic novels to her collection soon.
“It’s a little on the younger side,” says Dambergs, of her supply.
Damberg, whose mother and brother own the building, was given the
front half to use as she pleased, and being a book enthusiast, a used
bookstore just seems natural.
“I love books” says Dambergs, cheerfully.
Dambergs is selling books for $1 – $10, in hopes of
competing with the e-book market. In addition, she is willing to buy
books from customers who are looking to get rid of some novels.
The store will be open Wed-Sat weekly, so drop by to peruse for some
summer reading.

Good luck. A city can never have too many second-hand bookstores and Halifax lost a couple of good ones this year.
Congratulations, great to see a new used bookstore open. I will surely drop in the next time I am in Halifax.
I wish you great success.
take care
Carol
I just posted on your site but forgot to mention that I own Reynolds Book Store in Sydney, Cape Breton and also wanted to say welcome to the business.
again great success
