Reader Ronwyn Damora sent this photo of the collapsing stone work at the foot of Spring Garden Road, between the church and the Maritime Centre. McGrath said it started collapsing about a week ago. The church operates on a shoestring budget, and is trying to figure out how to pay to get the stone work fixed. If anyone has the expertise to offer up, please give her a call.

How nice of the Coast to pick on the church’s maintenance/financial issue yet not offer a possible solution, ie. donations can be sent to so and so. Very Bousquet, errrr, arrogant American-like.
I’m sure if The Coast were a stoneworking publication they would have offered several solutions. However, the best way a community newspaper can help to reach the ideal solution is to basically run an article about it as if it were an ad for tenders.
Now someone will probably do it for free. Did you even read that? Do you even read anything? I’ve read you posting ridiculous things.
Perhaps you don’t get it h-a-p-t, I don’t give a shit about what you have to say. Tho everyone is entitled to their opinion.

This is nothing a mason and her helper couldn’t fix in a day. $100 for materials, $300 for the mason, $150 for the helper = Say $600 plus taxes.
Pledges can be made here at the Coast and actual donations can be dropped off directly at the church some 50 feet from this disrepair. May I be the first to start the ball rolling, I pledge 10 bucks.
This is right next to Maritime Centre folks, at the bottom of Spring Garden Road. Anyone frequenting this area should pledge before the top falls off this post and squashes someone.
