Last week Oddjects (1717 Barrington Street, 405-7007) opened a location in the Halifax Shopping Centre (7001 Mumford Road, 407-4666). When co-owner Eric Claus opened Oddjects on Barrington last year he said he had plans for expansion to Toronto and elsewhere. The business currently has five stores in Toronto and two in Singapore, so things must be going well.
One caveat: the HSC store is only temporary, according to an Oddjects employee who says the space they’re in is spoken-for come January. “We’re going to see how the holiday rush goes and then hopefully find another space in the mall,” he said.
