Running from today, February 3 until February 13, the Nova Scotia Icewine Festival aims to celebrate and educate on the subject of icewine, and a number of local businesses are participating. For example, Bishop’s Cellar (1477 Lower Water Street, 490-2675) is hosting an event tomorrow, Friday February 4, from 5pm-7pm. For $20 you can join the staff of Bishop’s Cellar for a tasting of Nova Scotia icewines from wineries across the province. Or you can drop by Five Fishermen (1470 Argyle Street, 422-4421) any time during the festival to try an icewine martini creation, “inspired and infused with the nectar of the frozen grape.” Or stop by Morris East (5212 Morris Street, 444-7663) to try an icewine paired with a delicious dessert. Visit nsicewinefestival.ca for the full list of events.
