Grab your yoga passport and seek out serenity down the lane at the Yoga Shack, where you will find your own semi-private vacay, tucked behind the garden at 1043 Tower Road. Roll out your mat for Connect 2 Yoga, lead by Dawn Carson, it’s charming, engaging and peaceful.
I kicked off Yoga Week last night with Dawn’s 6pm class. This practice is intimate yet comfortable, allowing you to advance poses in a small setting. Beginning by exploring two important chakras, this class definitely expanded my idea of what to expect from a yoga class and challenged me to interact with my movements and breath, consciously.
This studio is the kind of place you bring your friends to unwind; whether you’re new to yoga and want to learn in a casual and chill environment, or experienced and crave more direct attention, this will be your new happy-space! If you go to yoga to sleep during savasana, this class may not be your jam. That said, if jamming during your practice sets you free, The Yoga Shack hosts a variety of classes, including Friday evening Live Yoga, where Claire Leger leads your practice to the live-tunes of Jeff Torbert.
If you want to check out another class with Dawn during Yoga Week, you can find her at the Shack on Monday morning (9:15-10:15am) and next Thursday evening (6-7pm) Vinyasa Flow Yoga with a Twist.
