Popular Italian resto Il Mercato (5650 Spring Garden Road, 422-2866) is offering a Prix Fixe menu, Mondays through Thursdays, a three course meal for $35. Also available are flights of wine, chosen to complement the meal, in 3oz and 5oz sizes. It’s worth keeping in mind that local restaurant magnates The Bertozzi Group, which own the Il Mercato locations on Spring Garden and in Bedford, as well as Ristorante A Mano and Bish World Cuisine at Bishop’s Landing, are offering gift cards redeemable at any of their restaurants. We know it’s only the middle of November, but the holiday parties and dinners will soon be starting up. Just sayin’. | Excellent coffee and pastries are now available at Two If By Sea (66 Ochterloney Street, 469-0721) café, located at Ochterloney and Wentworth in the Founders Corner Building in Dartmouth. | A new 5.4 percent APA is on tap at The Hart and Thistle Gastropub and Brewery (Historic Properties, 1869 Upper Water Street, 407-4278), called Polygamy Pale. We shit you not. The Hart & Thistle also has a baby grand on the main floor, with live entertainment every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 7-10pm. Wednesday trivia nights have started at 7pm, with proceeds going to local charities.
