Moda Urban Dining (1518 Dresden Row, 405-3480) co-owner and chef Matthew Pridham is teaming up with Premiere Suites to help promote their “Mental Health Above All” campaign in support of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
Premiere Suites seeks out local artists to participate in their yearly fundraiser and gives them free-range to paint a ceiling tile (mineral fibre squares often found in offices). The proceeds go to the Stockings for SCOT program, designed for individuals aiming for success and satisfaction with community living, personal goals and quality of life.
Pridham has lent his artistic eye to the cause and has his tile, “Five to Nine,” on display and up for auction at Moda. The starting bid is $100. Tile buyers can either display the painting as is, or replace a plain tile in an office with one transformed into a work art.
