Mills Brothers is up for sale! Mickey MacDonald, owner for the past five years, has announced that he is selling the downtown department store.

He has kept the business running after buying it from the MacLellans in 2007, but now wants to pass it off to someone who is more interested in women’s clothing.

MacDonald is selling the store but the building will remain the Shops at Mills, which houses 12 other retailers including Lululemon, The Daily Grind and David’s Tea. He has hired WBLI Chartered Accountants to find a new owner.

MacDonald, founder of Clearwater Fine Foods Inc., also owns the Chickenburger franchise and Harvest Wine and Spirits.
