Why are non HRM residents allowed to donate ?
Why are Liberal MPs from Montreal, PEI, Toronto allowed to donate to a Mayoral campaign in Halifax ?
memo to new council – ask the province to amend the legislation to ban donations from donors residing outside HRM.
And who says you can’t buy an election. I thought it was obscebe when the $200,000 figure was mentioned, now I am downright disgusted. No wonder he didn’t want to release the figure before the election. Now he says he is willing to discuss the matter of putting a cap on. So much for do as I say and not what I do. Will he lead the Council and vote to decline the raise due to HRM financial woes? I think not. Well HRM, for those who voted for him, you got what you wanted (anyone reminded of Dexter?) now enjoy the next four years of garbage.
this is where they should be throwing the money

Funny how most of the $5,000 donors are developers. I’m in favour of more development in the city but from what I’ve heard the development process is corrupt. This doesn’t help with that image.
Now we hear he was taking $10,000 a month for himself (a half a years income for many out there). I try to calm down and try to give the benefit of the doubt and then I hear this shit. Man did he fool the people or the people are just plain fools, I’m not sure which.
