If it wasn’t before, it definitely is now: With MEC and The Adventure Outfitters both within a block, Joachim Stroink of Quinpool Road’s The Trail Shop makes it an outdoor equipment and clothing hub, with three major sources in the downtown core. His store, the Maritime Summit Shop (1559 Barrington Street, 444-3118) is now open in the old Carsand Mosher space, joining Argyle Fine Art and The Middle Spoon, with a grand opening celebration planned for September.
The store specializes in the California-based The North Face brand, including clothing, outerwear, footwear, equipment and more.
Hours are Mon-Wed 10am-6pm, Thurs-Fri 10am-8pm, Sat 10am-6pm and Sun 12pm-5pm.
